Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to learn a few ways to tell the difference between a common frog and a toad (and it doesn’t include kissing them ☺️):
- Shape – A frog’s physique is designed for agility, with long legs ideal for hopping, while a toad boasts shorter legs and a stout body, perfect for crawling.
- Nose – A frog’s nose tends to be more pointed, while a toad’s will be more rounded and almost semi-circular.
- Skin – A frog’s skin will be smooth and moist or slimy, while a toad’s will be rough, dry and warty.
🟠 Take a moment to ponder the proverb by Japanese philosopher Zhuang Zhou, “The frog in the well knows nothing of the sea”. What do you think that means? Share your thoughts in the comments.
🟡 Take a moment to be still like a frog. Spread your hands out wide on the table in front of you or on your legs. If you’re able sit cross legged, if not just sit with your knees wide apart. Be as still as you can as you take in a deep breath and feel your chest expand in front of you like a frog’s. Hold it for a moment and exhale. Be aware of your surroundings and the sounds you can hear. Take a few more rounds of breaths and feel the stillness calm your system. Repeat this anytime you feel like you have been leaping around too much between tasks.
🟢 Take a moment to learn how frog sounds are said in a few different languages courtesy of James Chapman:

🔵 Take a moment to look up the stylish blue jeans poison frog, a rather fashionable amphibian found in Central America. This species of poisonous-dart frogs showcases a striking resemblance to sporting a favourite pair of Levis on their vibrant little red bodies.
🟣 Take a moment to think about Kermit the Frog. Created in 1955, he was originally voiced by his creator, the one and only Jim Henson. What word would you use to describe his character? Did you know he was originally turquoise? He is also one of a few puppet characters to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
One closing moment to take another deep breath. Hold it. Exhale. Smile. Frogs may be known for leaping from place to place at great speed and distance, but they are also known for being still when they are hunting for what they want. Take time this week to find that same kind of balance for yourself and don’t forget to stretch those legs 🐸

🐸 Any comments and thoughts are always welcome, please consider this a safe space. Share this froggy moment with anyone you think will enjoy it and sign up below to get your free ✨Monday Moment✨ every week to your inbox. Ribbit, ribbit.
