Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣

Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.

🔴 Take a moment to think of the eye colour of five people in your life. Do you know anyone with green eyes? Who has the most attractive eyes you’ve ever seen?

🟠 Take a moment to learn a lovely word from the 1700s: aspectabund (adj Latin origin) Easily showing emotions through the face or eyes. Do you know anyone with aspectabund eyes?

🟡 Take a moment to give your eye muscles a little relaxation and workout at the same time. Imagine a huge figure-8 or an infinity symbol ∞ in front of you and very slowly trace it with your eyes. Take a few deep breaths as you do it and reverse the direction after a few cycles. After you finish cup your hands over your eyes for a few moments and let the warmth and darkness relax them before you go back to work.

🟢 Take a moment to learn about some delectable foods, other than carrots, that WebMD say can give your eyes a healthy boost:

  • Raw red bell pepper (cooking can affect the vitamin C content)
  • Dark, leafy greens
  • Eggs
  • Sunflower seeds and nuts
  • Fish

🔵 Take a moment to think of three songs that focus on eyes. If you’re looking for inspiration, check out Spotify or Apple Music—you might discover a new favourite! Some top artists who have explored this theme include Peter Gabriel, The Flamingos, Billie Eilish, and Oscar Peterson. What is your favourite?

🟣 Take a moment to consider that scientists still don’t fully understand why we often cry when we’re emotional. Interestingly, while babies can cry from birth, they typically don’t produce tears until they’re about 1 to 3 months old. Additionally, researchers haven’t determined why some people cry in certain situations while others do not. What are the moments that bring your eyes tears of joy?

One closing moment to take another deep breath. Hold it. Exhale. Smile. Whatever this week may bring, take a moment to see it through someone else’s eyes. Gain perspective and see things differently. It may just turn your whole week around for the better for you and those around you.
