Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to think of your favourite type of museum, existing or just in your imagination. What does the entrance look like? What sounds can you hear in it? What is your favourite item in there?
🟠 Take a moment to try to think of how many films you’ve seen that are set in or involve scenes in a museum.
🟡 Take a moment to pause and take a few gentle breaths as you stroll through your own little mind-museum. First, sit tall. Relax your shoulders and let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Now, slowly inhale as you imagine walking through a beautiful doorway into a museum. As you walk, slowly exhale, hearing the soft echo of your footsteps on the floor. Continue taking calm, steady breaths as you wander through the exhibits. First, you see treasures from your childhood: favourite toys, beloved books, photos of special friends and happy moments. As you turn a corner, the exhibits begin to change. You see achievements: trophies, gold stars, certificates, proud moments, quiet little wins. They’re all there, and they bring a small smile to your face. You turn another corner, but stop when you reach a velvet rope and a great curtain blocking the path ahead. A sign hangs beside it: “Future Achievements — Exhibition Under Construction.” You go onto your tiptoes and peek through a small gap in the curtain. What can you see waiting for you there? Take another deep inhale and slowly exhale with a smile as you picture it. You turn back and continue enjoying the other exhibits, glancing once more at the curtain, knowing that, one day soon, you’ll be ready to walk through it.
🟢 Take a moment to remember the last time you went to a museum. Where was it? Did you go with anyone? What was your favourite exhibit or piece? Is there a museum you really want to go to?
🔵 Take a moment to learn that there are around 55,000 museums in the world. The largest art museum is said to be the Louvre Museum in Paris, with a mammoth footprint of around 360,000 square feet. Meanwhile, one of the smallest (and there are a few!) is said to be the Warley Museum in the UK: a converted iconic British phone box measuring just 91cm on each side. Have you ever come across another unique museum on your travels?
🟣 Take a moment to ponder a quote by novelist Nanette L. Avery: “A museum is a place where nothing was lost, just rediscovered”. Do you think she meant this literally or metaphorically?
A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it, feel it, and gently exhale. Museums carry countless stories across generations, reminders of who we were, how far we have come, and what we value. They encourage us not only to explore worlds beyond our own but also to rediscover the forgotten corners of ourselves: the memories, passions, and little moments of joy that shaped us along the way. Take time to rediscover yourself this week.

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome; this is a safe space. If this helped you today, consider passing it along to a friend who might need it.
