🔴 Take a moment to think of at least three puzzling foods that are most frequently searched for online with the question, “What is….?” or “How do you pronounce…?” Some answers can be found at the end of this post.

🟡 Take a moment to do a quick online puzzle when you need a break but want to keep your mind active. Head to Jigsaw 365 or Jigsaw Planet 🧩 Alternatively see if you can solve this quick puzzling riddle: I make a loud sound when I am changing. When I do change, I get bigger but weigh less. What am I? Answer can be found at the end of this post.

🟢 Take a moment to wrap your head around this—the current world record for completing a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle is an astonishing 1 hour and 40 minutes, held by Sarah Mills of the UK. Meanwhile, I’m currently at 3 days and 8 hours on mine. So watch out, Sarah, I’m almost there!🙃

🔵 Take a moment to think about how you tackle a puzzle. Do you start with the edges first? Do you separate pieces into similar colours or patterns? Do you work on focus areas first where the detail is more obvious? And when was the last time you did a puzzle?

🟣 Take a moment to learn a little about the history of puzzles. It’s believed that spoken-word puzzles, like riddles, were the earliest form, dating back to Ancient Greece. The first known jigsaw puzzle was created in 1760 by cartographer John Spilsbury who stuck a map to a piece of wood and cut around it. This soon became a popular way to teach Geography to children.

A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it. Exhale. You already know what I’m about to say because we’ve all been there—life can be puzzling. At times, it’s tough to make sense of things or see the bigger picture. Jigsaw puzzles serve as a great reminder that with patience and a method that works for you, you can piece everything together. So, whatever puzzling moments come your way this week, pause, take a deep breath, and trust that you’ll find your own way to solve them.

LOVING THIS 👍 … its many facets and its challenges : – the unusual song … I see the puzzle song has been hit on SO many times … is that reflective of your readers trying it out? – to do the puzzle, VERY difficult without the original 😮… but what good sources you offer for more … – application of today’s concept to real life viz: individual methods of doing a puzzle/viewing life’s puzzling pieces to the whole picture/puzzling riddle/learning puzzle facts/calming thoughts for life’s puzzles – … and the humour 😉 Thank you for my few moments of escapism and re-charging 😘
