Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to learn how to use an analogue watch as a solar compass according to the watchmaker Citizen:
- Lay the watch flat on a surface or on the ground
- Angle the watch so that the hour hand is pointing in the direction of the sun
- Locate the point halfway between the hour hand and the 12, this indicates the direction of the south
- Going from that southern point, go directly across the diameter of the watch to lead you to the north
🟠 Take a moment to think of the film Pirates of the Caribbean. Captain Jack Sparrow’s compass was thought by many to be broken because it didn’t point North. It was later explained that it in fact pointed to what the user wanted most. If you had that compass, what do you think it would would it point to?
🟡 Take a moment to think of some foods you have eaten over the years. Choose a dish to represent each main point of a compass. These could be foods from regions of your own country or from different countries around the world.
🟢 Take a moment to learn about the Compass jellyfish, otherwise known as Chrysaora hysoscella. It is recognised by its striking markings that resemble the points of a compass. This stinging beauty is usually found in the colder waters of the Atlantic, including around most of coastal Ireland, the UK, the western coasts of Europe and in some of the cooler waters of the Mediterranean.

🔵 Take a moment to recalibrate your inner compass. Said to be made up of a special group of brain cells known as head direction cells that use a combination of external and internal information to help orientate your place in the world. Whenever you need to recalibrate, start by taking a series of slow, deep breaths. With each breath, consider the following one by one:
- What matters most to me? What are my values?
- What am I passionate about?
- What motivates me?
- What do I consider to be the ideal version of myself?
🟣 Take a moment to ponder who is your compass in life. When you feel a little lost, who do you go to for help and direction? Even if it is someone who is no longer physically here with you, what would they say to you if you were feeling lost?
Take another deep breath. Hold it. Exhale. Smile. We all have moments when we may feel we have lost our way a little, and that is ok. When that happens be kind to yourself, take a deep breath, focus on what matters most to you and head in that direction. You never know, that first step might help the rest of the way fall naturally into place.
