Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣

Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.

Take a moment to….

🔴 … think of a favourite tv show growing up. Do you remember the theme tune? Who was your favourite character? Do you still watch it?

Take a moment to….

🟠 … ponder the fact that despite the rise in tv streaming channels and popular cult shows, the Apollo 11 touching down on the Moon in 1969 is said to still remain 👉the most watched tv programme in history. Over 150 million people watched around the world. The second place was taken by this year’s LVIII Superbowl bringing in a close 123 million watchers. Do you know anyone that watched the Moon landing? If you do, ask them to tell you about it what they remember about watching it.

Take a moment to….

🟡 … listen to some classic 👉 tv show theme tunes. Which ones would you add?

Take a moment to….

🟢 … think of what smell you would associate with certain tv shows – not just cooking shows. What smell would you associate with your favourite drama? Favourite sitcom? If the innovations of Smell-o-Vision were to ever make it into our homes, which tv shows would be the best for them to use?

Take a moment to….

🔵 … think about your favourite tv meal. After a long day and you just want to sit on the sofa and watch tv, what is your go-to meal?

Take a moment to….

🟣 … teach your brain to ‘change the channel’. When things are getting a little overwhelming, close your eyes and imagine holding a large remote control or putting your hand on a classic tv channel dial. Take a slow and deep breath in, focusing on your current state of mind. As you exhale, imagine changing the channel to a more relaxing ‘show’. Slowly inhale and exhale again to turn up the colour and the sounds of that calmer scene. Do this any time you need to.

Take another deep breath. Hold it. Exhale. Smile. Life can definitely feel like a tv show at times. Cliffhangers, extras, characters we love and characters we…don’t love so much. As you stream this week ahead, remember that whatever dramas it may bring, you can always change the channel for a moment whenever you need to, you have the remote 💙📺
