🔴 … close your eyes and visualise a flag on a flagpole under a clear blue sky. Notice its heavy material, colours and stitching. Take a slow deep breath in, hold it for a moment and as you slowly exhale imagine the flag beginning to move. Repeat the breath cycle and imagine the flag fluttering more and more as you exhale and hear the sound of the fabric flapping. Repeat as necessary. Do this any time you need to find some calm and be in the moment.

🟣 … design your own flag in your mind. According to the North American Flag Association the five principles of a good flag are:
- Keep It Simple: The flag should be so simple that a child can draw it from memory.
- Use Meaningful Symbolism: The flag’s images, colours, or patterns should relate to what it symbolises.
- Use 2 or 3 Basic Colours: Limit the number of colours on the flag to three which contrast well and come from the standard colour set.
- No Lettering or Seals: Never use writing of any kind or an organisation’s seal.
- Be Distinctive or Be Related: Avoid duplicating other flags, but use similarities to show connections.
Take another deep breath. Hold it. Exhale. Smile. Whatever storms may blow this week, keep your chin up and keep the flag flying 💙
