Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to think about what colour the word “happy” is to you. Can you spot that colour anywhere around you right now?
🟠 Take a moment to think of someone who personifies the word “happy”. What is it about them that makes them a good fit? Could you borrow a little of their approach today?
🟡 Take a moment to take a happy breath. First, think of a happy colour. Can you see it glowing all around you? Next, think of a happy tune. Can you hear it? Now put your hands together in front of you and imagine them filling with hundreds of colourful bubbles. Can you feel them? Now, breathe in all that happy. Feel it travelling in through your nose, into your body, out to your fingertips and toes, filling your whole being with happiness. Pause for a moment at the top of the breath and feel the happiness buzzing inside you. Now slowly exhale and imagine sending that happy feeling out into the world, to those who might also need it right now.
🟢 Take a moment to think about the last time you were feeling happy. Were you celebrating something? Doing something you love? With someone you love? What are the things that make you feel happy?
🔵 Take a moment to think of at least three songs that have the word “happy” in the title or lyrics. Then think of a song that always makes you feel happy.
🟣 Take a moment to think about what your happy food is. What food immediately brings a smile to your face, even just thinking about it? When was the last time you had it, and where were you?
A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it, feel it, and gently exhale. Happy can look different for all of us. Sometimes it’s found in the big moments we celebrate, and sometimes it’s tucked away in the little moments we almost miss. A smile. A memory. A favourite meal. A song on the radio. A patch of sunshine. A catch-up with an old friend. Perhaps a happy life isn’t built from a handful of extraordinary moments, but from hundreds of ordinary happy ones. So this week, don’t worry about chasing happiness. Instead, see if you can just spot it when it appears. Wishing you a happy week ahead.

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome; this is a safe space. If this helped you today, consider passing it along to a friend who might need it too.

Do you work for a business that would like to bring more wellbeing into your team culture? Or are you part of a publication that could benefit from a wellbeing column? If so, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to get in touch to explore how we could work together.
