Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to see if you can think of a song about plants or planting. What comes to mind?
🟠 Take a moment to think of plants with very different textures and scents. What are the first ones that come to mind? Can you imagine their smell? Can you picture how their leaves or petals might feel in your hand?
🟡 Take a moment to plant a seed with your breath. Sit tall and relax your shoulders. Let your tongue drop gently from the roof of your mouth and place your feet firmly on the ground. Pause for a moment and feel the steady support of the earth beneath you. Now imagine holding a small seed in your palm. Notice its shape and colour. As you slowly inhale, imagine covering the seed with a soft layer of soil. Feel it resting safely in your hand. As you gently exhale, imagine watering the soil with your other hand. The moisture sinks down, nourishing the seed. With your next inhale, picture the seed beginning to glow and grow. Feel its quiet strength spreading from your hand, up your arm, and through your whole body. As you exhale, let that strength settle within you. Imagine this small seed giving you the resilience you need for any challenges ahead. Whenever you need a little support, return to this breath and plant the seed again.
🟢 Take a moment to think if you were a plant, which would you be? What about your nearest and dearest, which plants would they be?
🔵 Take a moment to think about the incredible diversity of plants around us. Scientists estimate there are between 382,000 and 391,000 plant species on Earth, each one growing in its own unique way. If you’re curious, you might look up a few fascinating examples: the ghostly white Monotropa uniflora, the unusual Welwitschia mirabilis, the dramatic Tacca chantrieri, or the ancient Methuselah tree, which has quietly grown for thousands of years.
🟣 Take a moment to ponder a quote from Robert Louis Stevenson: “Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.”
A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it, feel it, and gently exhale. Every day we plant seeds in one way or another: ideas, thoughts, plans, goals, and connections. How they grow often depends on how we nurture them. This week, take a moment to notice the seeds you are planting and how you care for them. In your mind, plant positive thoughts. In your actions, plant inspiration and learning. And with one another, plant seeds of empathy, compassion, and support 🪴

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome; this is a safe space. If this helped you today, consider passing it along to a friend who might need it.
