Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣

Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.

🔴 Take a moment to connect. Sit tall, relax your shoulders, and let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Hold your hands in front of you, palms facing but not touching. As you slowly inhale, notice the space between your palms. As you exhale, gently direct your breath into that space and feel the air between your hands. On your next inhale, slowly bring your palms firmly together, noticing the sensation as your palms connect. As you exhale again feel the air move around your hands as they stay firmly connected. Repeat this practice whenever you’re feeling a little disconnected.

🟠 Take a moment to think about some toys or games that rely on a connection. Do you have a favourite? If so, when was the last time you played with it? Why do you think people love toys or games like that?

🟡 Take a moment to reflect on how we connect with one another through food. If you wanted to create a connection by sharing a meal, what would you make or bring? Why do you think food has such a powerful way of bringing people together?

🟢 Take a moment to contemplate why we need connections in life. Brené Brown once said, “Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.” Do you agree with this? Why or why not?

🔵 Take a moment to look around the room and find five things that wouldn’t function without a connection. Challenge yourself to find some less obvious ones.

🟣 Take a moment to think of the last person you instantly connected with? What brought you together, and why do you think you just clicked?

A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it… feel it… and gently exhale. As humans, we naturally crave connection. It grounds us with a sense of identity, safety, and belonging. Most importantly, it reminds us that we are not alone in this world. If you’ve been feeling disconnected lately, take some time this week to reach out, share a moment, and reconnect. You might be surprised who else could be needing that connection too.
