Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to create a hand-shell breath, a gentle practice for recharging your spirit. Sit up tall, relax your shoulders and release your tongue from the roof of your mouth. Cup your hands together to create a shell shape and notice the quiet space within. As you slowly inhale, allow your hands to open, as if the shell is revealing something precious – something that gives you strength and a sense of protection. As you hold your inhale, imagine that precious thing glowing within your hand-shell. Now slowly exhale, letting your hands close again as if to safely enclose that precious strength within its shell to carry with you. Repeat if needed and remember that you can do this anytime you need a little boost of resilience.
🟠 Take a moment to learn about Sphaerocypraea incomparabilis, often regarded as the rarest shell in the world. A member of the cowry family (Cypraeidae), it is unusual for its nearly spherical shape, distinctive dark, glossy surface and zip-patterened opening. Long known only from fossils dating back over 20 million years, it was presumed extinct until a specimen was discovered in the Gulf of Aden in the 1960s and then again in the 1990s. Today, only six specimens are known to exist.
🟡 Take a moment to boost your energy with a shelly tongue twister. Take a deep breath, sit tall and repeat the following at least 3 times: She sells sea shells by the sea shore. The shells she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I’m sure she sells seashore shells.
🟢 Take a moment to reflect on the symbolic meaning often tied to shells, whether they appear in a dream or in an unexpected encounter. They are said to represent a coming period of protected transformation and a time of growth safely sheltered within.
🔵 Take a moment to reflect on the words of Anne Morrow Lindbergh: “One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. One can only collect a few, and they are more beautiful if they are few.” What do you think she meant?
🟣 Take a moment to discover a curious fact about spiral-shaped shells, such as those of snails, conchs, or whelks. Most are dextral, meaning their opening faces to the right, while the much rarer sinistral shells open to the left. To tell the difference, hold the shell with the tip pointing upward and the opening facing you. If the opening is on the right, it’s dextral; if it’s on the left, it’s sinistral.
A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it… feel it… and gently exhale. Shells remind us that we can protect ourselves without being weighed down. They offer shelter without holding back the life within, allowing it to keep moving on its path. Whatever this week brings, remember that you carry your own resilience within you. It’s okay to retreat when you must – but always emerge, step forward, and continue your journey. 🐚
