Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.
Pick a colour 🔴 🟠 🟡 🟢 🔵 🟣
Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.
🔴 Take a moment to think about the furthest distance you have been for a favourite food. What makes it worth the journey?
🟠 Take a moment to learn about the incredible distances covered in an Ironman Triathlon. Triathletes swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles – truly an astounding achievement. The average time to complete it is around 12 hours and 35 minutes. Do you know anyone that has done an Ironman recently? Have you ever wanted to do one?
🟡 Take a moment to think of a song about distance. What’s the first one that comes to mind? How about Go the Distance from Disney’s Hercules and the iconic party song by the Proclaimers, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) – Hope you enjoy that ear worm for the rest of the day! 😁
🟢 Take a moment to stop and breathe in a little distance. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, hands resting by your sides. Relax your shoulders. Soften your jaw. Let your tongue drop from the roof of your mouth. Choose one point in front of you, at eye level, to focus on. As you slowly inhale, keep your gaze steady and take a step forward toward that point. Bring your feet together as you hold your breath for a moment. Relax your shoulders again. Now, as you exhale, carefully step back, keeping your focus on that same point, noticing how it shifts farther away. Take another step back, feet together, and settle into the space you’ve created. This simple practice can also be done in your mind. When a situation feels overwhelming, imagine yourself taking a step back and watching your perspective change. Return to it whenever you need.
🔵 Take a moment to think of a friend or loved one who lives far away. Is there a time difference between you? Have you ever visited each other? When was the last time you checked in on each other?
🟣 Take a moment to think of the furthest place you have travelled to in your life so far. Where might you like to travel next that is even further?
A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it. Exhale. Distance can be a curious thing. At times, it offers clarity – a healthy step back that gives us space to reset. At other times, it can feel heavy, like a gap too wide to bridge. When life feels overwhelming, allow yourself to step back, creating space to regain balance. And when the distance feels too great, remember that reaching out, closing that gap even a little, can make all the difference. As any triathlete will tell you, even the longest distances, whether physical, mental, or emotional, are possible to overcome when you set your mind to them. All it takes is one step forward.

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome; this is a safe space. Feel free to share this distance moment with anyone who might enjoy it, and don’t forget to sign up to receive your free ✨Monday Moment✨ every week straight to your inbox.
