Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

🔴 Take a moment to learn about the hottest day on record. It is said to have occurred on July 10, 1913, in Death Valley, California. Temperatures reached a simply delightful 56.7°C/134.1°F 🥵

🟠 Take a moment to think about your favourite thing to do on a hot day to escape the heat and help you cool down.

🟡 Take a moment to think of at least three songs about heat.

🟢 Take a moment to set a timer for 20 seconds and think of as many words as you can that rhyme with “heat.”

🔵 Take a moment to think about at least three foods that completely transform in texture when heated.

🟣 Take a moment to learn a quick trick to cool yourself down when emotions (or the temperature) heat up. Go to the nearest sink. Inhale slowly through your nose. As you exhale, relax your shoulders and drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth. Turn on the cold water and let it run on the inside of your wrists for a few moments. Repeat a few rounds of breaths until you feel some cooling calm.

A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it. Exhale. When things heat up, it can feel uncomfortable – emotionally, physically and mentally. If you feel any kind of heat this week, take a moment to breathe, reconnect and cool down.
