Welcome to your ✨Monday Moment✨

Take a deep breath in. Hold it. Exhale.

Find the moment below with that same colour, then go to the closing moment at the end.

🔴 Take a moment to appreciate one of the most dramatic architectural supports: the flying buttress. (And yes, feel free to giggle – I always do!) The most famous examples can be found at Notre-Dame de Paris. These remarkable Gothic-era structures form striking stone arcs that reinforce buildings by distributing the weight of the roof and walls outward. This ingenious design reduces stress on the main structure, making it possible to build taller, thinner walls adorned with breathtaking stained-glass windows. Have you ever seen one?

🟠 Take a moment to think about some of the people in your life who you turn to when you need support. Why do you think their support is always effective for you? What do you feel is the best way to show support for others?

🟡 Take a moment to think back to the last time you supported a good cause. If you could choose your top five causes to support even more, what would they be? Know of a lesser-known organization that could use some extra support? Tag them in the comments and help spread awareness.

🟢 Take a moment to think of your favourite songs of support – the ones that give you strength or remind a friend they’re not alone. Head over to the ✨Moment of support✨ playlist on Spotify and add yours, so that others can find comfort when they need it too. Or drop your song in the comments, and I’ll add it for you.

🔵 Take a moment for some supportive breaths. Gently place one hand in the palm of the other. As you slowly inhale, lift your bottom hand, supporting the top hand to rise. Pause for a moment at the peak of your breath. Then, as you exhale, lower your hand and feel the gentle weight of the top hand resting in the bottom one. Switch hands, placing the other on top, and repeat the cycle. Now, place both hands on your heart and take another round of deep breaths. Feel the warmth of your hands, the steady rhythm of your breath, and the lightness that comes with each inhale. As you exhale, carry that sense of support forward, ready to uplift yourself and others in the week ahead.

🟣 Take a moment to reflect on how you can better support yourself this week. Whether it is setting boundaries, practicing self-care, or simply giving yourself grace, just remember that support starts from within. Prioritising your well-being allows you to show up stronger for yourself and others. What’s one small way you can practice self-support this week?

A closing moment to take another deep breath together. Hold it. Exhale and smile. Support, by definition, means “to bear all or part of the weight of; to hold up.” It is something we all need at times -emotionally, mentally, and even physically – and that is perfectly okay. One of the greatest joys of having one another is the ability to offer and receive support. If the week feels challenging, take time for yourself when needed, and don’t hesitate to lean on those around you.
